3 units; 3 hours Lecture Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100. Study the function and meaning of relationships from both an academic and practical perspective with emphasis on the psychology of intimate relations. Historical, cultural, and economic perspectives are applied to an exploration of the myths and realities of relationships involving communication, power, roles, gender, sexuality, parenting, and the satisfaction of psychological and social needs. Transfer Credit: Transfers to CSU. Transfers to UC, with conditions: CSU: Students must take 39ABC (3 units) to receive GE credit UC: If taken for 3 units(ABC) CAN FCS 12.
