2 units; 2 hours Lecture Repeatability: May be taken a total of 2 times. Prerequisite: Graduation from accredited RT program or 2nd year Radiation Technology Student. Recommended Preparation: Eligibility for ENGL 100 and READ 100. Analyzes, evaluates and critiques the theory and practice of the following: care and management of the patient; radiologic analysis and positioning, radiation protection for radiography and fluoroscopy; darkroom chemistry; radiation physics, radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment, fluoroscopy principles and principles of radiographic techniques. Included is a comprehensive review of the State of California's Health, Title XVII regarding fluoroscopic radiation laws. Transfer Credit: Transfers to CSU.
