Description:

The treatment of inflammatory periodontal disease is taught during this course. Various aspects of conservative as well as surgical treatment are discussed. The student will become familiar with periodontal charting (including PSR), advanced instrumentation, chemotherapy and recall as well as the various types of periodontal surgical procedures. The student is taught to recognize the limits of dental hygiene therapy in advanced periodontal cases, and to be aware of types of more complex treatment.
