This course is designed for those students who are interested in perfecting their critical and analytical thinking skills through the study of theoretical models. Masterpieces of literature representative of various epochs, nationalities, and literary genres from ancient times to the sixteenth century form the core of this course. Honors World Literature explores the relationship people have to their world in such works as Homer's Odyssey, the poetry of Li Po and Tu Fu, Sei Shonagon's Pillow Book, Dante's Inferno, and the drama of Shakespeare.
