Students use hands-on projects and teamwork to design, implement and test large computer programs in Java, with emphasis on good programming style, expression, and documentation. Object-oriented programming methodology, elementary data structures, internal searching and sorting methods, basic graphical animation techniques, exceptions, multithreading, and simple recusion are covered. Students analyze and implement several software development models. (This course does not satisfy the mathematics general education requirement. It does satisfy CSI transfer requirements.) Prerequisite: CSC110 / 4 credits. Offered in the Spring.
