Through a combination of classroom and laboratory instruction, this course provides an introduction to Swedish massage therapy theory and skills. Topics include those necessary for a competent performance of a basic, fullbody, therapeutic massage. Students will also learn passive exercise and seated massage. Synthesis of practitioner's intention, critical thinking, assessment and skillful therapeutic massage application is emphasized. Limited to matriculated Massage Therapy students. Co-requisite: BIO105 / 4 credits.
