An introduction to the study of modern dance techniques, history, and composition. Fundamentals of the body promoting coordination, dynamic alignment, strength, mobility, and flexibility. Students will explore dance composition based on principles of dance (space, time, weight, and energy flow) and organize them in short compositional forms. Prerequisite: None / 3 credits. May be repeated once for credit. Offered in the Fall and Spring.
