This is a continuation of CJK 0006 Introduction to Law Enforcement. This is a basic course in which the student will be provided with information about mental retardation and mental illness and how to deal with individuals with these illnesses. The student will also be provided information concerning alcohol and substance abuse, and persons with physical disabilities. In addition, the student will receive information on street gangs and dealing with the elderly population. Objectives are addressed as specified by CJSTC.
