This course teaches the operational principles, diagnosis, repair and replacement of both air conditioning and heating systems. It covers the environmental impact that refrigerants have on the atmosphere. It also covers the proper refrigerant recovery techniques needed to meet EPA regulations. The student will also study the essentials of converting the R-12 system to a retrofitted R134A air conditioning system.
