(Replaces Dental Assisting 405L, 407, 407L, 414, 414L, portions of 412, 412L, and 413, and 419) Class hours: 288-324 laboratory. Prerequisite: Dental Assisting 410 and 420. Students are assigned to extramural (off-site) clinical facilities, which include general and specialty dental practices. Experiential objectives are the application of four-handed dentistry concepts, auxiliary utilization, direct patient care, and dental office procedures. Student participation in community and professional development activities that occur within the term is a required part of the course. May be taken twice. 1240.10
