Class hours: 32-36 lecture or 64-72 directed-learning laboratory. Prerequisite: Mathematics 420. Review of intermediate algebra. Topics include: solving linear equations and inequalities, absolute value equations, factoring, operations with rational expressions, simplifying exponential and radical expressions, solving quadratic equations and inequalities, graphing linear equations and inequalities, and an introduction to functions.
