Class hours: 64-72 lecture. Prerequisite: Spanish 1SS. Transfer Credit: CSU; UC. Designed to further address the needs and strengths of Spanish-speaking students who have little formal language training in Spanish. Continues the development of formal grammar and writing skills, the distinction between standard and vernacular usages, and the development of an advanced vocabulary through reading and writing. Reading and discussion will have an emphasis in Hispanic culture. Course is conducted in Spanish. Ten hours of supplemental instruction in a Success Center that supports this course is required. 1105.00
