Prerequisite: ART 390 with a grade of "C" or better.Course Transferable to UC/CSU Hours: 36 hours LEC; 54 hours LAB This is an intermediate course in wheel throwing and sculpture techniques. It explores the technical and creative processes of ceramic pottery making and sculpture including surface treatment and various fi ring processes. Focus is placed on an in-depth examination of contemporary ceramics. Different artists, techniques, and projects are explored each semester. This course may be taken twice for credit.
