MU 470. Artist Management. 2(2,0). This course provides students with a comprehensive overview of one-to-one management techniques as a manager of an artist. The course covers significant management and human resource practices in the music business while capitalizing upon previous coursework in marketing, press and distribution. Student learn about recording contracts, management contracts and financial flow throgh the perspective of the manager and A&R personnel. Prerequite: MU 311.
