3-0-3 Offered Spring Semester Prerequisite: Placement into ENG 101 This course studies diversity in the U.S. by examining the relationship between various dominant (majority) and subordinate (minority) groups. Students will explore forms and causes of prejudice, origins of inequality, and historical and current trends in majority-minority relations. Groups studied include religious, racial, ethnic, class, age, gender, physically disabled, and sexual orientation.
