This elementary logic course is an introduction to inductive reasoning. Patterns of inductive reasoning including analyogical reasoning inductive generalizations, scientific reasoning, and causal reasoning will be examined. Probability theory, decision analysis and the criteria for the acceptability of inductive arguements will be covered also.
