(Prereq: GEOL A101) A survey of the mineralogy and petrology, spatial and temporal frameworks and sequence stratigraphy of sedimentary environments emphasizing sedimentary basins. Includes coverage of deposition and diagenesis: cements, mineralization, and the development of porosity and permeability. 3 lecture and 3 laboratory hours per week. Required field trips.
