ABIO 499 - Senior Research: Biology

Description:

(Prereq: consent of instructor and senior status; Coreq: ABIO 490 or AGLY 490). A capstone experience involving independent scientific research. Students will work directly with a faculty mentor to pose a question of biological significance, write a proposal specifying research expectations, develop an experimental procedure, and collect and evaluate data. Students are required to present their data in both written and oral form. Ten laboratory hours per week. Research topic should be approved one semester prior to enrollment. Must be taken during the same semester of enrollment in ABIO 490 or AGLY 490 (Fall, Spring)
