This course examines the correctional system as it relates to the women who are part of that system. This includes both the women who are employed by the correctional system as well as those who are incarcerated or in rehabilitation within that system. Additionally, the gender based differences that exist in the areas of treatment and programming, the role of the correctional employee, and the operation of the correctional facility will be examined in detail.
