Fundamental laws of electricity and magnetism and their role in engineering applications. Concepts of charge, current, potential, electric field, magnetic field. Resistance, capacitance, and inductance. Electric and magnetic properties of materials. Electromagnetic wave propagation. Lectures, recitation, and laboratory. Prerequisites: ENGN 0030 or PHYS 0070; ENGN 0040 or PHYS 0160 (previously 0080); MATH 0180 or 0200 (may be taken concurrently); and APMA 0330 or 0350 (may be taken concurrently).
