A study of the rise of religious cults and fundamentalist sects in modern society, with special attention to the development of Jewish fundamentalism in Israel and America. Covers both religious and political groups such as Gush Emunim, Habad Hassidim, and B'nai Torah orthodoxy as well as other sectarian groups of interest to course participants.
