Each student will focus on individual projects that enable him/her to use the camera as a tool for visual exploration and documentation. Using the camera or format of choice, each student will gain practical experience on a documentary photo project(s), with weekly critiques and editing sessions. The relationship between words and images, as well as the historical and social significance of documentary photography, will be examined and discussed.
