This course will begin with a solid understanding of traditional techniques such as washes, bleeds and layering. Students will then explore the expressive qualities of the medium and its changing effects on a variety of paper and end the course by developing a painting from start to finish. A Saturday visit to the Brandywine River Museum will be planned. Some drawing experience is preferred, but not necessary.
