An intermediate treatment of the media, techniques, and concepts of painting. Students are expected to pursue extensively particular problems of painting both inside and outside of class and with close critical involvement of the instructor. Encourages a critical awareness of contemporary painting. Includes museum and gallery visits. Prerequisite: ART 23 or permission of instructor. Offered spring semester.
