This course examines the mutliple ways of knowing and understanding Latina/o cultural identity and expression in the Americas. The story of a Latina/o cultural identity is mapped out as place and sentiment in both historical and contemporary periods. We utilize theory and method from both the social sciences and the humanities to uncover and better understand the story of Latina/o identity and ourselves.
