Study, rehearsal and performance of the great masterworks for symphony orchestra with emphasis on works from the Classical through the Modern era of symphonic composition. Attendance at all scheduled rehearsals and performances are required. Prerequisite: Enrollment subject to audition administered by the college staff which demonstrates ability and technical performance by the student to a level of proficiency determined by a standardized testing procedure. Repeatability: Any combination of MUSP 40, 40X, 40Y & 40Z may be taken for a maximum of 48 units. Six hours lecture-laboratory, four hours laboratory. GE Area: Non-GE Applicable
