Survey of sociological and psychological theories and research studies examining the influence of society and social groups on the individual and the influence of the individual on society and social groups. Examination of overlapping and differing contents, level of analysis and methodologies. Focus on human interaction and the shaping of diverse and commonly-shared attitudes, beliefs and world views by society, culture and social groups.
