Explores the culture and politics of Mexican people in the United States leading up to and through the 1960s and 1970s, and the post-nationalist period that continues to the present. Our approach will be interdisciplinary, including readings and films that explore the history, sexuality, art, music, labor, and gendered identities of this diverse community. Prerequisite: Introduction to America/Ethnic Studies recommended.
