A concentration on advanced painting problems. Students are expected to have an established direction in painting, which they pursue intensively both inside and outside of class and in close critical discussions with the instructor. A critical awareness of contemporary painting is expected, as are visits to museums and galleries. May be repeated for credit. Signature of instructor required for registration. Prerequisite: ART 122. Offered annually.
