Description:
This course focuses on integration and synthesis of nursing concepts learned throughout the curriculum. Emphasis is placed on critical thinking in the caring and managing of complex high risk clients. Clinical practice occurs in the primary, secondary, and tertiary health care settings. The student receives guidance, supervision, and evaluation from a registered nurse preceptor in collaboration with a nursing faculty. Students are to complete all nursing core courses, satisfy technology requirements, and pass the Regents’ Test prior to enrollment in NURS 2215. Lecture/Lab Hours: Three hours lecture and fifteen hours clinical laboratory per week.
