Description:
The structure, function, and role of accreditation agencies for long term care institutions are examined. Emphasis is placed on the examination of the accreditation process and mechanisms that allow it to be in compliance with accreditation standards and guidelines. Federal, state, and local legislation regulations and their relationship to accreditation and approval are addressed. Lecture/Lab Hours: Three hours per week.
