Description:
This course addresses the social, political, and intellectual directions of European history from the Congress of Vienna to the end of the nineteenth century. Particular attention will be paid to the role of ideologies such as Romanticism, Conservatism, Liberalism, and Socialism and the evolution of political structures in Great Britain, Germany, France, Italy, and Russia. Lecture/Lab Hours: Three hours per week.
