Description:
This course is a culminating experience in which students take a lead role as special education teachers in the P-5 classroom. Students will develop and implement individualized education plans, make appropriate adaptations and modifications, and plan and implement instruction in general and special education settings. Students will also attend scheduled seminars on related topics. Use of technology is required. The course is aligned with state and national standards. Notes: A minimum of 8 consecutive weeks teaching in a P-5 inclusive/special education school setting is required. Lecture/Lab Hours: Four hours per week.
