Description:
This course is a culminating experience in which students take a lead role as a teacher in the P-5 general education classroom. Students will develop and implement lesson plans and instructional units linked to the Georgia Performance Standards. Students will be active in the school environment, assuming the role and responsibilities of the classroom teacher. Students will also attend scheduled seminars on related topics. Use of technology is required. The course is aligned with state and national standards. Notes: A minimum of 8 consecutive weeks of teaching in a P-5 school setting is required. Lecture/Lab Hours: Four hours per week.
