Description:
In this course students will study and apply pedagogical knowledge and content skills in various areas of language arts and children’s literature. Topics will include spelling, handwriting, grammar, and the writing process. Students will examine various types of children’s literature to support cognitive, social, psychological, ethical, and language development. This course includes an extensive field component, and the use of technology is required. This course is aligned with state and national standards. Lecture/Lab Hours: Three hours per week.
