(Prerequisites: RAD 117, RAD 135) Provides instruc tion on the principles of radiation interaction. Radia tion effects on cells and factors affecting cell response are presented. Acute and chronic effects of radiation are discussed. Topics include: introduction to radiation biology, cell anatomy, radiation/cell interaction, effects of radiation, radiation detection and measurement, patient protection, personnel protection, dose limits, and agencies and regulations.
