(Pre/Corequisite: WLD 100) Introduces the fundamen tal theory, safety practices, equipment and techniques necessary to perform basic oxyacetylene welding opera tions. Topics include: welding theory; safety procedures and practices; proper use of gas cylinders, regulators, torches, tips and other oxyacerylene welding apparatus; welding without filler rods; running beads with filler rods; joint design and making butt, lap, and open butt joints; and brazing and soldering.
