1.00 Credits Prerequisite(s)/Co-requisite(s): WLD 100 Introduces the fundamental theory, safety practices, equipment, and techniques necessary to perform basic oxyacetylene welding operations. Southwest Georgia Technical College Topics include: welding theory; ocyacetylene welding safety; use of gas cylinders and regulators; use of torches, tips, and apparatus; welding without filler rods; running beads with filler rods; butt, open butt, and lap joints; brazing and soldering. Practice in the laboratory is provided.
