Topics include: Review of: Immunohematology-Donor unit collection and storage; Pretransfusion testing; transfusion reactions, and management of diseases; Clinical chemistry-Carbohydrates, Electrolytes, Acid-base balance, Nitrogenous compounds, Enzymes, Endocrinology, Liver functions, Lipids, Toxicology and drug monitoring; Microbiology-Fundamentals and basic techniques, identification of bacteria, anti-microbial sensitivity, disease correlation to organisms, parasitology, mycology, mycobacteriology, and virology.
