This may entail research and critical techniques adapted to individual writing and/or oral presentation projects under instructor supervision. Specific topics vary from quarter to quarter. This course cannot be substituted for departmental requirements. Prerequisite: JAPN 5. Repeatability: Any combination of JAPN 36, 36X, 36Y & 36Z may be taken a maximum of six times for credit.
