Introduction to notation, notes on the guitar, intervals, major and minor scales, chords, and basic principles of chord voicing as applied to the guitar. Not designed as a performance class but intended for music students whose primary instrument is the guitar. Prerequisite: elementary guitar skills. Advisory: MUS 14.
