An American Red Cross course to prepare students to teach swimming and safety in and around the water. Emphasis on development of skills, safety practices, and guidance in teaching, organizing and supervising a water safety program for all levels of swimming and water exercise programs from the age of six months. The American Red Cross Water Safety Instructor certificate is awarded upon successful completion of the course. Three hours lecture, three hours laboratory. GE Area: Lifelong Understanding
