0.5 Unit Continuation of VT 75C. Practical application of animal care skills and principles of animal care and management using techniques and knowledge learned in the veterinary technology classroom. Opportunity to participate in the health care team involved in the care, management and husbandry of livestock, companion animals and laboratory animals. Responsibilities include medical record keeping, inventory control, and care of clinical equipment. Emphasis will be on the basic principles and application of clinical facility management, care of resident teaching animals, and routine maintenance duties Level of responsibility increases as the student prepares to enter the second year of the program and take over lead nurse responsibilities.
