This course is designed as a self-paced course for the student who needs to strengthen skills and understanding of the concepts of arithmetic and elementary algebra. Topics include fractions, decimals, percents, ratio and proportion, integers, solving Chipola College Catalog 97 simple equations, and exponents. This course is not open to anyone who has previously completed any other college mathematics course. A grade of "C" or higher must be earned in the course to advance to the next highermathematics course which is MAT 0024. This course does not meet general education requirements in mathematics. 4 noncredit semester hours. [P]
