This course in English composition is designed to prepare a student to write successfully throughout the fouryear college career. Theme assignments deal with narrative, descriptive, expository, and argumentative writing. Brief oral presentations are required. A documented essay is required. ENC 1101 fulfi lls 8,000 words of the Gordon Rule writing requirement. Prerequisite: Acceptable placement scores in writing (or a grade of "C" or higher in ENC 0004 ) an d reading(or a grade of "C" or higher in REA 0004). A grade of "C" or higher mube earned to enroll in ENC 1102 or to use this course as part of the general education requirement in English. 4 semester hours credit. [A]
