An introduction to the study of major religions of the world and the historical framework and philosophies within which they developed. Attention will be given to their origins, nature, classic beliefs, and practices. Among the religions to be considered are Hinduism, Buddhism, East Asian religions, Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Prerequisite: Acceptable placement scores in reading or a grade 104 Chipola College Catalog of "C" or higher in REA 0004.
