PCB 4043 is an introduction to living systems at the population and community/ecosystem levels. It includes energy fl ow and nutrient cycling in ecosystems; community organization, development and classifi cation; population structure and dynamics. Labs include fi eld work, lab analysis and use of interactive software. This course addresses specifi c Sunshine State Standards, subject matter competencies and pedagogy pertinent to the discipline and required for teacher certifi cation. Prerequisites: BSC 2010/2010L, BSC 2011/2011L, and CHM 1046/1046L. 3 semester hours credit. [A]
