(3.0 Units) (No prerequisite. Three lecture hours weekly.) An introductory course to a vital business area, marketing is open to all students and is especially recommended for business majors. It is required for the general business major. Topics to be included are: marketing's role in society, the market structure, channels of distribution, retail institutions, wholesale institutions, product development, packaging, pricing, and promotion.
