This class explores the basic brain processes underlying the functioning of the human mind. Among the topics to be discussed are basic synaptic functioning, psychopharmacology, stress and the immune system, learning and memory, sleep, mood disorders, schizophrenia, language, motor and sensory systems, sexuality, consciousness, endocrine function and interactions.
