(1.5 Units) (Prerequisite: Computer Information Systems 122. Advisory: Computer Information Systems 153. Two lecture and three laboratory hours weekly for eight weeks.) This course is designed to prepare the student to support, monitor, configure, and test basic security features applied to personal computer networks. The goal of this course is to provide the student with a fundamental understanding of network security. Students explore principles applied in a network. They will learn how to implement a variety of security settings for data and services. (CSU)
